I. Our Commitment to Fair Refunds

We understand the disappointment of receiving a damaged or defective product. Our process is designed to be straightforward: once your returned item is received and inspected, we aim to process your refund promptly.

A. Processing Time

  • After approval by our inspection team, refunds are typically initiated within 14 business days.
  • The time before the refund appears in your account depends on your bank or card issuer’s processing schedule.

If you do not receive refund confirmation after 14 business days, please contact our support team for assistance.

B. Secure Transactions and Refund Method

  • All refunds are securely processed through PayPal.
  • If you paid via credit card or another method, the refund will still be credited back to your original payment source via PayPal.

II. Refund Eligibility and Inspection Process

To qualify for a refund, items must meet the eligibility requirements listed in our Return Policy. After we receive your return, our Quality Control team will conduct a detailed inspection.

A. Notification of Approval

You will receive an email indicating whether your refund is:

  • Approved – Refund will be issued to your original payment method.
  • Rejected – We will explain the reason (e.g., item used, tags removed, or ineligible case) and discuss potential return options.

B. Addressing Refund Delays

If your refund was approved but has not yet appeared:

  • Check with your bank or card issuer, as additional processing time may apply.

III. Items Not Eligible for Refund

A. Sale and Discounted Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Items purchased during sales, promotions, discounts, or clearance events are final sale and non-refundable.

B. Other Non-Eligible Cases

  • Incorrect size, color, or style selected during checkout.
  • Spelling mistakes or incorrect custom text submitted by the customer.
  • Minor color differences caused by lighting or screen display variations.

IV. Exchanges (Defective or Damaged Items Only)

Smarteenews provides exchanges only for items confirmed to be defective or damaged upon arrival. Exchanges are not available for sizing issues, incorrect selections, or change of mind.

  • Initiating an Exchange: Email support@smarteenews.com with your order number and clear photos of the defect or damage.
  • Exchange Process: After verification, we will arrange a return for the faulty item and send a replacement of the same product, size, and design.
  • Stock Availability: If the item is no longer in stock, we will issue a full refund instead.
